One day Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) entered his mother’s room, and saw that his mother was performing Salaat and in Roko’a was praying for all believers by mentioning their names.
He listened and realized that his mother prays only for others, and not for herself. He came forward and asked: O’ mother, why do you not pray for yourself a bit as you do for others? Lady Fatimah Zahra (SA) replied: O’ my son, first we must think about neighbours, and then pray for ourselves [1]. And in another narration, it has been reported: Believer’s Dua is accepted on behalf of the others, and when a human being prays for others, Divine Angels will pray for that human being, and that Dua is surely accepted by God.
