Regarding his uprising, Imam Hussain (AS) said:

O’ Allah (SWT), You know that whatever has been said by us is not for competition to gain power and to attain the worldly goods; rather our aim is to return the signs of God’s religion to their places and reform God’s cities/towns in order that the oppressed servants of God feel secure, and God’s Wajib deeds and traditions are practiced as well as Divine Decrees are acted upon [1].
