When you look at Ayah Mobahila (Ayah 61 of Surah Aal-e-Imran), the blessed existence/life of Imam Ali (AS) is perceived as the life of the Prophet (PBUH) (wa anfosana wa anfosakom)[1].

This shows that these are the truth. In the case of “Hussain (AS) is from me and I am from Hussain (AS)”, there are plenty of explanations, that “Hussain is from me” because he is my grandson “I am from Hussain (AS)”, because my religion was revived by Hussain’s (AS) Karbala. Then we see that this expression is also used for Imam Hassan (AS); “Hassan is from me and I am from Hassan (AS)” [3]. Then we see that more than all and before all of them, this expression is used for Imam Ali (AS), “Ali (AS) is from me and I am from Ali (AS)” [4]. The proof of all these is the blessed Ayah of Mobahila.
