Imam Ali (AS) said:

O’ people, if you had not relinquished helping the truth, and had not been spiritless in weakening the untruth, those who are not in your level, could never think about your destruction, and no power could gain victory over you. But because you are in a state of confusion like Israelites, I swear to my life, your confusion will be worse after me, because you turned your backs to the truth, and cut your ties with relatives of the Prophet (PBUH) and approached strangers. Beware, if you had followed your Imam, he would have guided you to the path of the Prophet (PBUH), and you could have been saved from being misled, and you could have removed the heavy weight of problems from your shoulders [1].
