Gathering at Dar al-Rahamah Portico of the Razavi Holy Shrine concurrent with Ashura, Turkish Shia Muslims held their mourning ceremonies for Imam Hossein (A.S.).
Turkish Shia and Alawi Muslims get together and held their mourning ceremonies at Dar al-Rahmah Portico earlier today in the memory of Karbala’s martyrs.
This ceremony had been arranged by Astan Quds Razavi’s Management of Non-Iranian Pilgrims. Eulogy recitation ceremonies, reciting Ashura prayers, holding collective prayer of Ashura’s noon, lecture, reciting ritual sessions of Maqtal (denoting works commemorating miracles and happenings around the martyrs of Karbala tragedy) for Azeri speaking pilgrims of Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Speaking in this ceremony, Hujjat al-Islam Hajiof referred to this issue that being mournful for Imam Hossein (A.S.) is a very good opportunity for the formation of religious identity. He said, "Karbala and mourning ceremonies are the best opportunities for getting perfectly nurtured and they are also very good chances for making self. They could be a model for all ages and people".
He emphasized, "Ashura and Muharram are great cultural and educative treasures which have great impact on people’s characters. They form Islamic and religious identity as well".
This ceremony’s lecturer said, "To give more longevity to the educative effects of this month, it is necessary to have a right comprehension of the reasons and incentives behind Imam Hossein’s (A.S.) movement. We have to be careful in order to maintain the insight achieved during this month".
