The staff of the Department of the Square between the Two Holy Shrines of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in cooperation with the outer courtyard care department at the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine, has finished spreading the signs of grief in the square between the two holy shrines to receive the holy month of Muharram.
Head of the mentioned Department; Sayed Nafi’ al-Mousawi, said: “As was the custom before the beginning of the Hussayni season of sorrows, and according to the directives of His Eminence the Senior Official of the al-Abbas’s (p) holy shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, in collaboration with the staffs of the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine, began spreading the signs of sadness from banners and black cloth pieces on which expressions of sadness and sorrow were written."
Al-Moussawi added: "The number of banners that were hung reached (57) flags for the number of years of Imam al-Hussayn's life (peace be upon him), measuring (one meter × one and a half meters) with (Ya Hussayn) and others with (ya Qamar Bani Hashem) written on them. In addition to (70) black banners of condolence measuring (5m × one and a half meters), many condolence phrases were written on them and the mentioned flags were placed in the middle, in addition to other forms hung on lampposts."
He concluded: "All of these signs of sadness in the square between the two holy shrines, are prepared to receive mourners."
