A delegation from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs have visited the holy shrine of Imam Reza in Iran’s northeastern city of Mash’had. The pilgrims were received by the Astan Quds Razavi Center for International Affairs.

Four senior officials from the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs paid visit to the holy shrine of Imam Reza on Thursday. As part of their visit, the Pakistani officials took a tour around different sections of the shrine, such as the Museum of Qur’an and Precious Objects, the Museum of Gifts presented by leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution and the Hall of artworks by renowned Iranian painting master, Mahmoud Farshchian.

Amjad Reza, who was among the Pakistani delegates, said that the Museum of Qur’an and Precious Objects is a valuable asset for Islam.

He stated that the precious copies of Qur’an are an important treasure kept at the holy shrine. “Preserving and displaying valuable copies of the holy book, such as the Mus’haf Sharif, which is attributed to Imam Ali, Imam Hassan, Imam Hussein, Imam Sajjad and Imam Reza is a significant initiative taken by Astan Quds Razavi,” added the Pakistani official.

Referring to Astan Quds Razavi as a harbinger of peace and friendship among Muslim countries, Amjad Reza said, “Peace and unity among Muslim nations will disappoint the enemies, and Astan Quds Razavi has taken major strides to this end.”

The senior Pakistani official hailed Iran as “one of the most important countries in the Muslim world,” which has been doing a great job in promoting the religion of Islam.
