The Imam Hussain Shrine has stated that the residential complex project – being built for poor people – is still under construction.
Khairat Essebtain Company’s manager, engineer Fewzi EshShaher, said, “This project – located on Kerbela-Babylon road – is a 1000-residential-unit complex being built for poor people in the holy city of Kerbela. So far, 25% of the whole project has been achieved.”
EshShaher added that the first stage of the project is erecting structures of 350 residential units, which will be achieved by the end of 2018.
The representative of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority, sheikh Abdul-Mehdi ElKerbela’ey, has recently visited the project and emphasized the importance of expediting it.
