SHAFAQNA – Jannat al-Baqi‘ (Arabic: جَـنَّـة الْـبَـقِـيْـع) is cemetery in Medina, the Hijazi region of present-day Saudi Arabia. It is located to the southeast of the Prophet’s Mosque, which contains the grave of Muhammad (p).
The former mausoleum of Hasan ibn Ali, Ali as-Sajjad, Muhammad al-Baqir and Ja’far as-Sadiq in Jannat al-Baqi‘:
The historical tomb of Al-Baqi’ was destroyed in 1926. Ja’far al-Sadiq was one of four Shia imams buried there.
