Cultural center of the I.R.Iran in Vienna is opening an exhibition of photos taken from two different pilgrimage routes for peace in Iraq and Spain.

The works displayed at the event portray pilgrims who walk hundreds of kilometers to the holy city of Karbala for Arbaeen. They also show Christian pilgrims of Camino de Santigo or the Way of St. James. Every year thousands of Christian Catholics take various routes on their march on the city of Santiago de Compostela in north-west of Spain.

They walk on various routes stretching from different areas as far as France to visit the shrine of Apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. It is believed that the remains of the saint who was one of the first disciples who joined Jesus Christ are buried in that cathedral.

The photo gallery will host the guests on October 24, 2019, at No. 6 im, Stephanplatz, Vienna.
