Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Higher Education, Technical Education, Information Technology, Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari, who is also President All J&K Shia Association Wednesday presided over a mammoth religious congregation here wherein various Shia scholars and hundreds of people participated.

Addressing a gathering at Zadibal Imam Bargah, the Minister said that Hazrat Ali (A') had spent his entire life in the way of Islam and in spreading message of Prophet Muhammad (S).

On the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (A'), Ansari, a prominent Shia religious cleric,  said that his (Hazrat Ali)  entire life was an example for all Muslims and his bravery and way of life serves as an example not only for Muslims but entire humanity. He said that his life was also a great example for whole of mankind in the world.

He said that towering personality of Hazrat Ali (RA) had this honor of being born in the house of Allah – Kabba – and also achieving his martyrdom in the house of Allah – Masjid Kufa – he said Muslims would continue to remember him for his services to Islam and mankind until the Day of Judgement. He said that there is no match of Hazrat Ali in his devotion, generosity, bravery & courage and character. His virtues are an example to mankind and no words are match in expressing them.

Laying emphasis on following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and Imam Ali (PBUT) in letter and spirit, Ansari said without following their humane teachings and adopting their way of life, it would be hard for Muslims to come out of the matrix and convulsion that they are caught in. While paying tributes to Hazrat Ali for his services toward Muslim Ummah and mankind and for his selfless sacrifices, Ansari said until achieving martyrdom, he consistently worked for the honour of Islam and Prophet Muhammad and held the baton of Islam high by being a shinning beacon of piousness and wrote his name in the Islamic history with the golden ink.

Emphasizing that Muslims were caught in strife and uncertainty and people living across the entire Islamic world were caught in a quagmire of conflicts and chaos, he said it was unfortunate that Muslims were killing Muslims and damaging the image of Islam by consciously or unconsciously working for the interests of Zionist forces against Muslims.

Muslims show great reverence toward Ali ibn Abu Talib, the cousin and son-in-law of the prophet Muhammad.

Later Ansari also threw light on importance and blessings of Ramadan month. Special prayers were also held for peace and prosperity of the state. He also spoke in detail about about the blessings of holy Ramadan month and the Quran.

Later some scholars also spoke on the occasion, urging that Muslims to follow the directions of Allah and that is the only way to be successful in this world and hereafter.

Later devout Muslim mourners held congregational prayers in remembrance of Hazrat Ali and took out a rally from Zadibal Imambargah which later culminated at the shrine of Gulistan Baba Sharief, Alamgari Bazar, Srinagar here.
