An international webinar titled “Prophet Muhammad (PBUH); Messenger of Humanity” will be held on the occasion of Islamic Unity Week.
According to Ashura International Foundation, the webinar, slated for October 29, will also mark the birthday anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Ja’far Sadeq (AS), the sixth infallible Imam.
The foundation will organize the online program in cooperation with the United Ummah Center.
A number of scholars and religious figures will participate at the webinar, which will be addressed by Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, director of the foundation, and Hojat-ol-Islam Sayyed Fadi Al-Sayyed, head of the center.
Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Yazbak, head of Hezbollah’s Religious Mission and representative of the Islamic Revolution’s Leader in Lebanon, Ayatollah Hadi Al-Mudarresi, Muslim author and scholar from Iraq, Sheikh Tajuddin Al-Hilali, Al-Azhar scholar and Mufti of Australian Muslims, Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Al-Bouti, head of the Scholars Union of the Levant, Sattar Jabbar Hulw, the leader of Mandaean religion in Iraq and the world, Sheikh Mohammad Jabati, representative of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly in Mali and Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Sheen, member of the Islamic Jurisprudence Assembly in Sudan will also deliver speeches at the program.
The international webinar will be broadcast on Zoom from 7:30 p.m. Tehran time.
The participants will also make statements in condemnation of the French government’s support for offensive cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
French President Emmanuel Macron earlier this month pledged to fight “Islamist separatism”, which he said was threatening to take control in some Muslim communities around France.
He also described Islam as a religion “in crisis” worldwide and said the government would present a bill in December to strengthen a 1905 law that officially separated church and state in France.
His comments, in addition to his backing of satirical outlets publishing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), have drawn widespread condemnation from Muslims across the world.
