Deputy Office for Islamic Ideology Dissemination of Imam Reza holy shrine has planned various religious, literary, and cultural programs for the pilgrims on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Hassan (AS), the second Imam in Shia Islam.
According to Hoj. Hossein Shariatinejad, deputy of the Islamic dissemination office, the ceremony will commence with Imam Hassan’s prayers at 8:20pm in Imam Khomeini portico of the holy shrine after serving the pilgrims with Iftar meals.
The ceremony will be also featured with sermons, eulogies, declamation, etc. for foreign pilgrims such as Arabs, Urdu-speakers, and Turks.
‘Night of Poetry’ is another section of the ceremony with outstanding poets taking part. It will start at 5pm in Imam Hassan courtyard and the poets will recite their poems extolling the ethos of the second Imam of Shia Muslims.
Imam Hassan’s birth anniversary falls on April 16 this year. However, Shariatinejad noted that the ceremony would proceed into the following day, April 17, and would comprise recitation of prayers and lessons of the Holy Quran.
