Holy Quran Center of Imam Reza holy shrine has embarked on holding ‘Quran: Meaning of Life’ exhibition during the fasting month of Ramadan in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad.
The exhibition runs in two sections of kids and adults. The former concerns children of 8-12 years of age, who take part in workshops and play games just to reach the key to open the booths and find the hidden treasure – a part of Quranic verses.
One of the main features of this section is learning Holy Quran recitation techniques, which are presented via 12 table games and 3 kinetic tasks. The games are designed to familiarize the kids with recitation rules such as identifying the alphabet, diacritic, etc. Quran memorization is also another feature of this section.
Another section of the exhibition is about daily prayers and ritual ablution. Here, the youngsters learn the concepts meant by pillars and aspects of Islam via a pedagogical banner, and understand their mistakes in performing the ablution.
Further in the exhibition, based on their age and gender, kids and young adults will take part in a visual game and a strategic game respectively. The goal of the games is teaching different sections of daily prayers besides creating a happy spiritual moment for the participants in the holy shrine.
There is a special section on Imam Reza (AS) that comprises kinetic activities aimed at demonstrating prayers and Holy Quran through Imam’s life and conduct.
‘Worshipping Ceremony’ is another section of the event. Here, Islamic teachings are given through ‘Tunnel of Light’, a maze, etc. and the contestants should find the gold key to the treasure in the tunnel. There are also certain booths to familiarize the kids with the personalities of the Leader of Revolution and Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
Sections for grown-ups featuring different games and activities are also designed in the event.
The Holy Quran exhibition is currently underway between Bab al-Reza and Bab al-Javad gates in the holy shrine and will be ongoing between 6pm and 12am every night until April 19.
