Researchers from Islamic Research Foundation of Imam Reza holy shrine have submitted articles on pilgrimage in religions and nations to the Second International Conference on Interfaith Dialogue.
Articles about pilgrimage in religious inscriptions (Islam, Christianity, Judaism, etc.), pilgrimage rituals from the perspective of different religions and cultures, virtual pilgrimage on cyberspace, benefits of pilgrimage (spiritual, psychological and social), and indentifying anti-pilgrimage movements have been submitted to the conference. This webinar conference has been organized by the Islamic Philosophy and Theology department of Allameh Tabataba'i University in a bid to establish mutual understanding and dialogue among different religions and cultures.
Hoj. Mohammad Ebrahim Roshan from Razavi University of Islamic Sciences and Mohammad Hossein Mohammadpour from the Islamic Research Foundation submitted articles titled ‘Pilgrimage in Sunni Scholars’ Interpretation, Narratives and Words’ and ‘Sharing Sacred Space: Common Christian, Jewish and Muslim Religious Places in Jerusalem’, respectively.
Other researchers from the Islamic Research Foundation also submitted three articles titled ‘A Survey on the Principles of Visiting Graves in Judaism’, ‘Pilgrimage in Old and New Testaments’, and ‘Typology of Pilgrims to Imam Reza Holy Shrine and Jewish Sacred Places: A Comparative Analysis’.
Researchers from the two centers have actively attended the event with six articles overall.
