The Iranian Cultural Center in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, plans to hold a festival on the birthday anniversary of Imam Reza (AS).
According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the program is slated for July 14 in the city of Merv.
It will be held in a place in Merv known as Ghadamgah (the Place of the Foot), where there is a stone slab with what are believed to be the two footprints of Imam Reza (AS).
Some of those serving at the Imam’s holy shrine in the city of Mashhad will be present at the event.
Muslims, especially Shias, around the world will celebrate the anniversary of Imam Reza (AS) birthday on Sunday, July 14.
The center also plans to hold a ceremony on the auspicious occasion on July 13 in Ashgabat, the capital.
Various programs are held annually to mark the occasion in Iran and other countries.
