The Imam Hussein (AS) Islamic Society (IHIS) in Edmonton, Canada will reopen to host Shia Muslims attending mourning programs in the lunar Hijri month of Muharram.
According to the website of the IHIS, the construction at the center will be finished in a few days and the programs of the center will be resumed in Muharram 2018.
It has invited all the momenin (faithful) to participate in Muharram programs at the Centre.
Muharram is the first month on the lunar Hijri calendar (September 11-October 10 this year).
Every year in Muharram, Shia Muslims around the world hold ceremonies to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his faithful companions in the 680AD Battle of Karbala.
The Imam Hussein Islamic Society is a new Shia Islamic society established by Iranian followers of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in Edmonton.
