Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the spiritual leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky on Wednesday 1/7/2020 raised flag of Imam Ali Al-Ridha (AS) at the tower building of Fudiyyah Maraba, located at Nasarawa state closed to the city of Abuja.

It was raised shortly after marking birth anniversary of the 8th infallible Imam. The flag substitued that of Imam Hussein (AS) to usher the beginning of Imam Ridha's birthday activities across cities in Nigeria.

In August 2015 a flag from the Shrine of Imam Ridha (AS) was presented to Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky which was hosted at the doom of Hussainiyyah, months before the deadly December attack 2015 in Zaria by Nigerian Army killing hundreds of innocent followers of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky.

The event was attended by tens of hundreds of members of the Movement from far and near the city of Abuja.
