The maintenance and glazing of the Dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) from the inside, has reached its final stages of finalization by the staff of the maintenance and engineering construction department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
The supervisor of these works and the head of the mirrors unit in the aforementioned Department, Mr. Hassan Saeed Mahdi, said that "these works are the largest and most comprehensive since the nineties of the last century, and this is the last stage of the maintenance and glazing of the corridors of the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) with its ceiling and walls, according to a plan developed for this purpose, characterized by accuracy and craftsmanship, and the addition of aesthetic touches in harmony with the décor in the holy sanctuary and courtyard".
He added that "the executed designs of the Islamic decorative inscriptions came in accordance with the previous inscriptions that existed in the past, with the addition of some modern technical touches, and the glass used is characterized by its high quality and resistance to ambient conditions, and it came in harmony with the method of its installation".
He concluded, "despite the fact that there were interruptions in work as a result of the major Ziyarat, because the work equipment surrounds the holy grid and hinders the movement of visitors somewhat, but once it is finished, we resume work and thank God it was within what was planned, and our staff made exceptional efforts to complete it and show it in this aesthetic image".
