Aban ibn Taqlib narrated from Imam Baqir (AS) who said:

In Meraj, the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) asked Allah (SWT): O’ God, What is the position of a believer with You? Allah (SWT) replied: Whoever insults any of My (God’s) friends, has openly declared war against God, and I help My friends quicker than anything else. I know believers dislike death and I do not like to upset them in this regard. Indeed, some of the believing servants nothing but affluence reform them, and if they were in any other situation they would have been destroyed. And some other believing servants nothing but poverty reforms them, and if I change their situation they will be destroyed. And none of my servants can get close to Me (God) except by deeds which I have made Wajib, and indeed My servants can get close to Me (God) by Mostahabbat to a level that I like them and because I like them I become their ears to hear, and become their eyes to see, and become their tongues to speak, and become their hands to hold them, and if they call Me, I respond to them, and if they have any wishes I will grant them [1].
