Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, offered his condolences on the passing of the wife of the Grand Ayatollah Sistani.

According to Shafaqna quoting Al-Shorouk, Sheikh Al-Azhar stated in a message: “I offer my condolences to His Eminence the Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani, the distinguished Shia Islam authority, on the passing of his wife. I ask Almighty God to bestow vast mercy upon the deceased and to grant patience and abundant reward to her family and loved ones.”
