Astan Quds Razavi’s Islamic Research Foundation has recently published three books on religious themes titled “Imam Ali (AS), Successor to the Prophet (pbuh),” “Tafsir-e Tebyan,” and “Salman Farsi from Doorstep to the Sky of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).”
“Imam Ali (AS), Successor to the Prophet (pbuh),” is a critique of “The Succession to Muhammad” by Wilfred Madelung, a German Orientalist, already translated and published in 2007 by the Islamic Research Foundation.
The book, in six chapters and 265 pages, is in accordance with Madelung’s book, and recounts the events after the Prophet’s demise in separate reigns of the four caliphs.
“Tafsir-e Tebyan” is one of the most important, valid and complete books of Quranic interpretations by Shia scholars in Arabic. This interpretation was compiled in the fifth century. Written by Sheikh Tusi, it contains a comprehensive set of sciences and techniques regarding Quranic interpretation such as Arabic literature, tradition, jurisprudence, theology and history.
The first volume, including translation of introduction, Surah al-Hamd and Surah al-Baqarah to the verse 55, is presented in 550 pages.
“Salman Farsi from Doorstep to the Sky of Ahl al-Bayt”, by Dr. Fasanqori and Qolam Hossein Javadi and in five chapters and 317 pages, is a translation of renowned Syrian author Muhammad Ali Asbar’s “Salman Mina Ahl al-Bayt (AS)”.
It contains Salman’s biography and the events before meeting the Prophet (pbuh), participation in wars and important early Islamic-era events such as Hajj al-Wida’, etc.
The book also covers an analysis on Salman’s sermon in support of Imam Ali (AS), his attributes, traditions related to him, his presence in the battlefields and his political activities until his demise.
