The 4th edition of the annual international Ghadir exhibition will be organized online this year.
Ali Kadhim al-Sultan, an official with the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine in Karbala, said it will go online this year unless the coronavirus pandemic ends before Eid al-Ghadir, the website of the Astan reported.
He noted that Bain ul-Harmaint (the area between the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala) hosted the previous editions of the expo.
The exhibition features paintings and art works with the theme of Ghadir.
The event of Ghadir, or Eid al-Ghadir, is among important feasts and happy holidays of Shia Muslims held on the 18th day of Dhul-Hajja in the lunar Hijri calendar.
It was the day when, according to reports, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) appointed Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) as his caliph and the Imam after himself following an order from God.
This year, Shia Muslims worldwide will celebrate Eid al-Ghadir on August 8.
