The 8th International Course on Shi’a Studies with the participation of foreign scholars and in cooperation with the Center for International Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi and the Qom University of Religions will be held this March at Razavi Holy Shrine.

The head of the department for studies and planning at the Astan Quds Razavi Center for International Affairs said the news to the correspondent of Astan News and added, “So far, there have been seven International Course on Shi’a Studies organized by the Qom University of Religions and Denominations, whose eighth session will be held in the holy Mashhad in collaboration with Astan Quds Razavi.”

Gholamreza Kalhaki, pointing out that this course is foreseen for foreign scholars expressed, “This course is in fact a sabbatical leave for non-Iranian elites who are specialized in researching Shi’a religion.”

He mentioned the goal of organizing the International Course on Shi’a Studies to elevate the knowledge level of the Shi’a scholars around the world and stated, “Participants in this period will visit Qom and Isfahan after attending this specialized course in Mashhad.”

It is worth noting that the International Conference on Shi’a Studies will be held at the Center for International Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi in March 2019.
