Seyed Rokn Addin Mausoleum of Yazd
Seyyed Rokn Addin was a supreme judge of his time and his body was buried in Roknieh School. Today, his mausoleum is all that is left from the school and the complex it was built in. Seyyed Rokn Addin Mausoleum was registered as a National Heritage Site in 1935.
Seyyed Rokn Addin Mausoleum has one entrance door and an eye-catching dome placed on a tall cylindrical neck structure. Architects, designers, and constructors of this mausoleum left the internal hall empty, without any rooms or architectural structures. Therefore, the spectacular simplicity of the mausoleum is one of its attractive points. On the other hand, the walls are decorated with different artistic designs like tiling, painting, gilding work, carving, and lime work. These decorations have undergone various renovations in recent years.
