What is the purpose of mourning ceremonies for Imam Hussain (AS)?

In many occasions, Imam Hussain (AS) said:

What is the purpose of mourning ceremonies for Imam Hussain (AS)?

All of the 14 infallible Imams have one plan. Each one of us has a duty and Allah (SWT) has allocated a duty for me and another for my brother. At any juncture we are responsible for provision of justice and wisdom of people. If people are wise, they are comfortable. The purpose of mourning ceremonies is for people to become wise and just, and for them to attain the good of the world and the hereafter. The logic of some people is: O’ God give us the world, and then they do not think about Halal or Haram, they do not think about justice and oppression, or about wisdom and ignorance. They do not say any more: “O’ God, give us good in this world and in the hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the fire. [1]” The good of the world is attained through justice and wisdom [2].
