Imam Ali (AS) said in Nahjul Balaghah:

 

What did Imam Ali (AS) say about the efforts of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to establish Islam on the earth?

O’ God, on your command the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) tried so much to display the glowing flame of the truth and lit the way for ignorant and those who are misled, as well the hearts which were sunk in sedition and sins. For the sake of the Prophet (PBUH), they were all guided. The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) raised the flags/banners of the truth and established the lively/vibrant Islamic decrees/religious law [1].
