It is narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: There are four bases to disbelieve, and they are:

  1. Attachment to the world and inappropriate desires
  2. Fear of losing the world and not being able to attain financial interests
  3. Dissatisfaction with designated Divine destiny and distribution of sustenance
  4. Opposing Divine and Humane Values [1]

Imam Hassan (AS) also said: Destruction of people is in three things: Arrogance, greed and jealousy. Arrogance destroys the religion and because of it, Iblis is cursed. Greed is the enemy of the life of the human being and because of it Adam (AS) was expelled from the paradise. Jealousy which is the source of badness and because of it, Kane killed Able [2]. In another narration, it is reported that Imam Hassan (AS) was asked: Do you suffer from arrogance? Imam Hassan (AS) replied: Never, arrogance only belongs to Allah (SWT), but honour is with me. Allah (SWT) has said: And glory belongs to God, the Prophet (PBUH), and the believers [3].
