Attending holy shrine’s Dar al-Marhamah Portico, the group enjoyed special cultural and religious programs provisioned by Astan Quds Razavi’s Office for Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs.

Speaking to reporters, Dovi Gonavati, a female member of the group said: “There is a very special attraction in holy city of Mashhad absorbing all lovers of Imam Reza (AS)”.

“Iran is one of the holiest places for devotees of the Household of the Prophet (pbuh) and my feeling here in Imam Reza (AS) shrine is the same as one I had while visiting holy cities of Mecca and Medina” Gonavati added.

Describing her pilgrimage, she said she had traveled for thousands of kilometers with the hope of having her first pilgrimage to Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine on the martyrdom anniversary of the eighth Imam of Shia Muslims.

“I had a very good feeling; however, when I saw on-foot caravans walking toward Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine, I envied them and  wished for a chance to come to this shrine on foot”, she added.

Gonavati went on to say: “I had a heart connection to Imam Reza (AS) since my childhood and when I envisaged problems of any kind, I asked him for help. I also advised others to seek solutions for their problems only in Hazrat Reza (AS)”.

She brought her talk to an end by saying: “I have no sense of loneliness when I am in Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine watching its minarets; my special feeling in the shrine cannot be described and I thank Hazrat Reza (AS) for providing me this pilgrimage opportunity”.
