On the afternoon of Thursday 24th of Muharram 1440 AH corresponding to the October 4, 2018, the servants of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine walked in a condolences procession to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the fourth of the infallible Imams (peace be upon them);
Imam Ali Ibn al-Hussayn Zayn al-'Abideen (peace be upon both of the), from the holy shrine of the symbol of generosity and altruism; Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) passing by the area between the two holy shrine heading towards the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to extend the condolences to the Mater of martyrs (peace be upon him) with sad expressions and elegies of the mourners from the servants of the two holy shrines, a condolence Majlis was held to commemorate this painful tragedy.
Imam as-Sajjad is Ali son of al-Hussayn son of Ali son of Abi Taleb (peace be upon them), the fourth Imam of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). He is called Aba al-Hassan and his title is Zayn al-'Abideen and as-Sajjad. His mother is Shah Zenan daughter of Yazdegerd [king of Persia], as the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) had sent Hurayth Ibn Jaber al-Hanafi governor for a side of the east, who sent him the two daughters of Yazdegerd. He married his son al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to Shah Zenan who gave birth to Zayn al-'Abideen (peace be upon him), and her sister to Mohamad Ibn Abi Bakr, and gave birth to al-Qassem.
He (peace be upon him) was born in Madinah in the year 38 AH, and he lived two years with grandfather; the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), additional ten years with his uncle al-Hassan (peace be upon him), and additional eleven years with his father al-Hussayn (peace be upon him). He lived after his father thirty four years. The martyrdom of Imam As-Sajjad (peace be upon him) was on the twenty-fifth of the sacred month of Muharram 95 AH, after that Al-Waleed Ibn Abd al-Malik has sent a killing poison from Levant to his governor in Madinah and has ordered him to put it in the food of the Imam (peace be upon him). Al-Waleed governor has executed the orders and poisoned and killed the Imam (peace be upon him), who was then fifty seven years old. He (peace be upon him) was present in the at-Taf tragedy, and witnessed the martyrdom of Imam al-Hussayn and his family (peace be upon them) in the land of Karbala. So, peace be upon al-Hussayn, upon Ali Ibn al-Hussayn, upon the children of al-Hussayn and upon the companions of al-Hussayn.
