Imam Ali (AS) said: do not wish for more than enough, and do not ask for more than what will get you to your target [1].

This world is a tool for the hereafter; go after the world as far as it takes you to the hereafter. It is also narrated from Imam Ali (AS) who said: The less of the world is better than a lot of it. And that which is needed to get the human being to the destination, is better than things which destroy the human being [2]. In another narration, Imam Ali (AS) said: O’ the child of Adam (AS), whatever you attain which is more than your requirements, will remain for others, and you are the one who looks after those things for others [3].
