Imam Ali (AS) said:

Allah (SWT) tests human beings in order that good and bad is recognized from each other, and to repel arrogance and selfishness from them. Therefore, take/learn a lesson from what God did to Iblis; because all the deeds and constant efforts by Iblis disappeared/destroyed. Iblis prayed to God for 6000 years, but for an hour of arrogance, destroyed everything. How can after Iblis another person repeat the same mistake and survive? No, never! God will never allow a human being into paradise for the same act which an angel has been denied the paradise [1].
