Pakistan: Protest rallies held in Karachi to mark anniversary of Jannatul Baqee demolition
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen organized the demonstration in which MWM’s supporters were raising slogans against House of Saud, the rulers of Saudi Arabia, for their unpardonable crime that they demolished the sacred shrines and graves of noble figures of Islamic history including Ahl-e-Bayt (AS) and Companions of the Prophet of Islam.

They were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the demolishers of Jannatul Baqee graveyard.

Speaking at the protest demo, MWM leader Allama Syed Baqir Zaidi, lamented the callousness of a particular group among Muslims who remain silent against the Saudi crimes against Islamic Ummah. He said that US-allied Saudis and other Arab regimes were targeting innocent Muslims in Yemen, Syria and elsewhere instead of helping liberation of Palestine and Kashmir.

He said that Muslim Ummah is grieved over the demolition of Jannatul Baqee and they demand restoration of this historic Islamic heritage site and they demand it must be preserved. He said that UNESCO has failed to protect historic Islamic heritage buildings and sites in US-allied kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He demand UNESCO and all Muslims around the world to exert pressure on the Saudi monarchy to refrain from destroying Islamic heritage site and restore the Jannatul Baqee and other holy sites.

On the other hand, Shia Muslims observed the anniversary of demolition of historical Islamic graveyard of Jannat ul Baqee in Medina, in all over Pakistan. Apart from MWM, Tehreek-e-Nifaz Fiqh e Jafaria, ISO and other parties and groups also held rallies and demos.

House of Saud occupied the sacred Islamic land of Hijaz and turned it into a part of their Saudi Kingdom and under Wahhabi ideology they razed the sacred and historical graveyard in Medina. The graves of family members of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) and of his companions were reduced to dust under Wahhabi operation.

Entire Muslim world detest Saudi kingdom for demolition of Jannatul Baqee and continue to demand that Jannatul Baqee must be reconstructed and restored with its shrines and graves like they did in the past.
