The event was attended by scholars and academics from Bahrain and Afghanistan. Astan News reports from the event.

According to Astan Quds Razavi, which is in charge of managing the affairs of the holy shrine of the eighth Shia Imam, Ali ibn Musa al-Reza, the international event is aimed at foiling the conspiracies plotted against Muslims by reviewing the life of one of the most important women in the history of Islam, Hazrat Zeinab, who is the sister of Imam Hussain, the third Shia Imam.

Addressing the delegates at the meeting, Managing Director of Astan Quds Razavi’s Department of Non-Iranian Pilgrims, Sheikh Assad Qeisar, referred to Hazrat Zeinab as a “holy lady”, saying that her character is well reflected in the words of the succeeding Shia Imams. Sheikh Assad Qeisar described Hazrat Zeinab’s divine knowledge as one aspect of her special position among Muslims.

“Almighty God granted her with high degree of knowledge. Her knowledge is indicative of her position, her tolerance and patience over the tragic events of Karbala. Her eloquent speeches [after the martyrdom of her brother, Imam Hussain] attest to her divine position.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his household were aware of her divine knowledge,” Qeisar continued.

Sheikh Assad Qeisar stressed that God chose Hazrat Zeinab to entitle her with an important responsibility. “She was full of affection and love during the catastrophic events of Karbala.”

“The holy lady enjoyed the same degree of knowledge as other members of the Prophet’s household,” explained the scholar.

Sheikh Assad said the insight of Hazrat Zeinab is a “fulfilment of God’s promise” in the holy Quran, which reads, “O ye who believe! If ye fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion (to judge between right and wrong).”
