1100 Sunni pilgrims visit Razavi Holy Shrine

Director of Non-Iranian pilgrims Office of Astan Quds Razavi announced the attendance of 1100 foreign Sunni pilgrims at the Razavi Holy Shrine in the first half of the current year.

Hussein Gholampour, director of Non-Iranian pilgrims Office of Astan Quds Razavi stated that during the first six months of the year, 1100 Sunni pilgrims from India and Pakistan visited the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) adding, “The Sunni pilgrims just like the Shi’ites are enthusiast for the pilgrimage of Imam Reza (A.S.), and they express their devotion with their pilgrimages.”

“In the final days of the month of Safar and the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (A.S.), hundreds of Sunni pilgrims from different provinces of the country walk on-foot towards the Razavi Holy Shrine. This amount of devotion reflects the deep and profound insight of them”, he reiterated.

"The presence of these pilgrims from different cities and countries has provoked Astan Quds Razavi’s officials to prepare various programs for them”, Gholampour said.

"Visiting the museum, tour of the Holy Shrine, donation of cultural products and blessed packages and presentation of film on introducing the Razavi Holy Shrine are among the programs and services that this management provides for these pilgrims”, he added.
